Q: Are all your scopes waterproof, fog proof and shock proof?
A: All are shock proof. Most are waterproof and fog proof. See the catalogue for details.

Q: Can I buy BSA products directly?
A: Yes. Please go to the Products Page or Price List for a list of items available online. Those items not available can be found on the LINKS Page or at your local Sporting Goods or Firearms Dealer.

Q: Can I modify the appearance of my BSA scope, Red Dot or Laser Sight with camouflage paint or other color?
A: No. Changing the product from the manufacturers' recommendation will void the warranty.

Q: Can you install a different reticle on my BSA scope if I send it to you?
A: No. We do not replace reticles.

Q: Do you sell Sunshades for scopes?
A: No.

Q: How can I speed focus my BSA scope?
A: On Catseye & other BSA models with this feature, the speed focus is done at the rear part of the eye bell. Like any eye piece focus, its purpose is to provide a sharp view of the reticle. It has nothing to do with the focus or sharpness of the target.

Q: How do I get Warranty Service in Canada?
A: Please refer to your vendor if you live outside of the USA to process warranty issues.

Q: How do I get my BSA products repaired or replaced?
A: Follow the Warranty Procedures on your Warranty Card. Go to the Products Detail Page from the Products Page to see a copy of the Warranty Card.

Q: How long will the battery on my Red Dot last?
A: The battery type 2032 on your Red Dot will last 8 hours minimum if left on the 6th power position.

Q: Tripod dropped off a bench, can I buy the piece that broke?
A: Yes. Please send us a full description on the part & model and we will send you the part if it is replaceable.

Q: What are the features of a scope?
A: Please refer to the Products Page for detailed explanation on our models.

Q: What is Shadow Black finish?
A: BSA's Shadow Black coating is a special heat process that bonds a strong rubber skin directly onto the aluminum, making a beautiful, non-glare, soft black finish.

Q: What is the Field of View on my scope?
A: The Field of View and other accurate information on your scope based on the model can be found on the Products Comparison Chart Page.

Q: What is the adjustment ring on the front of my BSA scope marked 10 yds. to infinity?
A: That ring is the Parallax Correction Dial.

Q: What is the magnification on the Red Dots?
A: There is no magnification on these sights. You can adjust the brightness of the dot by rotating the knob on the unit. The higher the number the brighter the dot appears.

Q: What is the standard Parallax setting on my BSA scope?
A: BSA rifle scopes are preset at 100 yds.; pistol scopes are at 50 yds.; shotgun scopes at 75 yds. and black powder scopes at 75 yds.

Q: What is the tube size of BSA Rifle Scopes?
A: They are 1 inch. However, there are few 30 mm models, which include the following: BC1.5-4.5x42/30, BC3-9x42/30 or BC3.5-10x42/30

Q: What is the warranty on the LS 650?
A: The warranty is 1 yr. Limited. Refer to the Products Page for more details.

Q: What scopes do you recommend for airguns?
A: Any BSA AR4x32, AR2-7x32 or AR3-12x44.

Q: What type of base does the RD30, RD42 & RD50 use?
A: The above Red Dots will use any Weaver type base that is 7/8" wide.

Q: What type of base does the RD30/22 SB or SIL use?
A: Either Shadow Black or Silver Red Dot 30/22 will use any 3/8" wide grooved receiver on a .22 caliber rifle or airgun.

Q: Where are your scopes made?
A: They are made in the Far East.

Q: Are BSA Binoculars waterproof?

Q: How can I see better through my binoculars, if I wear glasses?
A: Most BSA binoculars are fitted with rubber eyecups that can be rolled down for a better field of view with glasses.

Q: How do I focus my binoculars?
A: Please refer to the Owner's Manual for instructions.

Q: No matter what I do to adjust the clarity of my binoculars, I cannot correct the problem?
A: Please follow the warranty procedures for a repair or replacement.

Q: What can I do if the double vision on my BSA binocular cannot be corrected?
A: Please follow the warranty procedures for a repair or replacement.

Q: What is the best way to care for my binoculars?
A: Follow the cleaning instructions on your Owner's Manual.

Q: Where are your binoculars made?
A: They are made in the Far East.

Q: Can it be used for a shotgun?
A: Yes, from the end of 2002, BSA BS30 boresighter comes with an adjustable arbor which will work with shotguns and muzzle loaders.

Q: Where can I get bore studs for my shotguns?
A: We do not make bore studs in those sizes. Our boresighter kit has 15 bore studs (ranging in size from .177 cal. to .50 cal.).

Q: Why doesn't the .177 bore stud fit into the new .177 caliber rimfire rifle?
A: The .177 is .007 of an inch larger than the bore size of your .17 caliber rifle.

Q: Can the LS 650 sight be mounted on a rifle, shotgun or pistol?
A: Yes. It includes two sets of bases, allowing it to fit 3/8 inch wide grooved receivers found on .22 rifles and pistols as well as airguns, and, the 7/8 inch wide weaver-style bases.

Q: How can I get a new battery cap for my laser sight LS 650?
A: Contact BSA Consumer Service Dept. & provide your name, address and model for a replacement cap to be sent.

Q: Is the LS 650 Sight water resistant?
A: Laser sights are not waterproof. Please follow your Owner's Manual or Laser Instructions and follow the maintenance and care steps to extend the life of your laser.

Q: What is the minute of angle on an LS 650?
A: The laser dot projected by the LS 650 measures about 5 inches at a distance of 100 yards, or, about one inch at 25 yards.

Q: What is the range of the laser beam?
A: The laser's visibility, and ultimately its usefulness, is determined by the brightness of the environment it is used. For example, in normal indoor lighting, the dot is useable up to about 100 yards. Outdoors in bright sunlight it is usable up to about

Q: Is there a special way of maintaining BSA scopes?
A: The only maintenance required on your BSA scopes is by using a high quality lens cleaner with a soft cloth. No special maintenance is required. (Do NOT use solvents or gun oil on your scope.) The lenses can be cleaned by using a high quality lens clean

A: Yes. Contact BSA Consumer Service Dept. & provide your name, address and scope model so that replacement parts can be sent.

Q: Can I put a RD30 on a Magnum gun?
A: Yes. They will work & can be mounted on any Magnum rifle, handgun or shotgun.

Q: Can I use the RD30 for 300 yds.?
A: Yes.

Q: Can I use the RD30/22SB on a crossbow?
A: Yes. You my use it on a crossbow if the base mount is 3/8" in width.

Q: Can I get sunshades for my DH4-16x50 scope?
A: No. Only CT & PT Scope Models come with sunshades. The CT and PT families of products are used primarily for target shooting. A sunshade is a benefit to target shooting under certain circumstances. However, it is considered too bulky to be of use to a

Q: Need the rings for the AR 4x32 scope.
A: The rings are DHMR medium size.

Q: What do I do if the battery cap on my scope is misplaced or does not fit correctly?
A: Contact BSA Consumer Service Dept. & provide your name, address and scope model for a replacement cap to be sent.

Q: What is the thickness of the reticle on the Mil-Dots?
A: The most important dimension is the distance between the dots. This distance is one "Mil" or mil-radian. It is used to determine distance, hold over, and wind deflection. Go to the Handbook Page of this Website for a detailed explanation of this reticle

Q: What set of rings do I need for the AR 3-12x44?
A: If you have the Gamo Hunter 890 S, you need High Rings.

Q: What should I do if the windage & elevation knobs do not adjust the reticle on my CT6-24x40?
A: Return it to BSA & follow the warranty procedures. However, it may be that the amount of windage and elevation adjustment you are attempting is beyond what the scope can provide. This is explained in greater detail in the section "Why can't I sight-in.

Q: Are BSA Spotting Scopes equipped with the telephoto adapters?
A: No. They are not available for any of our spotting scopes.

Q: Can I get spare parts or replacement for my tripod?
A: Some parts may be replaced. Contact Consumer Service Dept. at 954-581-2144 or email us for detailed information. Please have the model number of your spotting scope available.

Q: Do all BSA Spotting Scopes come with tripod?
A: From the end of 2002, all come with tripod.

Q: Which scope has the 45º angle?
A: The CE12-36x50 WP has a 45º adjustable angle & the BC20-60x60/45

Q: What is Eye Relief?
A: It is the optimum distance that a scope can be held away from the eye and still provides 100% of the field of view. Many of BSA's riflescopes have long eye relief, essential for keeping a safe distance from hard-kicking magnum rifles.

Q: What is Field of View?
A: It is the diameter (side to side view) of the circular field seen through a scope. This distance is usually expressed in terms of a certain width at 100 yards.

Q: What is the Exit Pupil?
A: It is the diameter of the column of light that exits from the eyepiece of the scope. The larger the exit pupil, the brighter the image appears and the easier it is to find quickly.

Q: What do I do if my BSA Scope malfunctions?

Q: What do I do if the cross hairs have rotated in my scope?
A: Return it to BSA & follow the warranty procedures.

Q: What is the warranty period on BSA products?
A: It is either Limited Lifetime Warranty or 1 Year Limited Warranty depending on the model of scope purchased.

Q: What should I do if the RD30 is fogged for the first time and used in the rain?
A: Return the RD30 to BSA and follow warranty procedures for repairs or replacements.
