Great scope for the price. Good focus at all powers. For the people writing in about the ugly Wheel, if you owned one instead of just looked at pictures you would know you don't have to use the wheel if you don't like it. Mine never came out of its package. The attached focus knob works great and the indicated distance is very accurate. Used it to 600 yards on a 223 AR and my second one out to 1k on a 308 bolt gun.
Only con I have is the shutters. I feel nervous if someone uses them. I keep thinking they will smash very easy if closed to tight.

Great scope, put it on my heavy barrel Armalite M-4.
For those lamenting the Focus wheel, this is a *tactical* scope people, the large wheel is for rapid focus and re-focus, with gloves, in a tactical situation.
You can zoom quickly between multiple targets at varied distances without precisely reaching for a small knob or aperture.
If you do not need a tactical zoom, don't buy one. That simple.
Took this weapon prairie dog hunting, while i was focused in on a group of holes, i saw one pop up about 200 yards closer in than the holes i was ranged on.
With the fast spin focus i was able to zoom back to him, quickly adjust elevation and pop him in under 4 seconds.
Excellent scope, exactly what is needed in rapid response / varied distance situations.

I had purchased a BSA Sweet 17 and Sweet .223 and was so pleased with them on my .17HMR and Rem 700 VTR (.223)I bought this scope for my Rem 700 .308 SPS. It is mechanically rugged, simple to adjust with audible and tactile clickage, bright, sharp optics. Last trip to the range on 2/11/11 firing handloaded Sierra 165 gr. HPBT at 10" round armor steel swinging target, aka "full metal hog." 15 shots, 15 hits. 5 for 5 at 300 yards. I'm satisfied.

The focus wheel is not needed on the scope. But as a left handed shooter it works very well for quick focus. Great item and have purchased other BSA products.

ugly scope probably would sell more if not for that ugly focus wheel if they wanted their scope to be recognized from a distance they should have made it pink at least then you could spray paint over it

Just purchased the tactical 6-24. What a great idea with the twist cap! Installed the scope on a Savage 12 precision target rifle and found the function to be flawless. I will buy more of these scope. Great value for your dollar.
