I purchsae this scope and put it on my Remington 700 mil spec 308 and it is a dream. I shot a 4 inch group at 0ver 400 yards. the index of the turret knobs are a little soft, but they are very repeatable. I only with that BSA would make the adjustment knobs marked in true MOA, i.e. 8 clicks to one MOA and not showing a 1 for 4 clicks being actually a 1/2 MOA. other than that the scope is outstanding for the money. this is my second Contendar, I have an older 4-16 that is outstanding as well. I have actually had that scope pay for itself in a bet on a 500 yard shot hitting 3 out of 5 bulls eyes at deer camp 3 years ago. Great scope for a great price.

I used this scope today on a friends ar-15, and it was hitting a target at 600 yards easy. I will be buying this scope soon.

Great scope with amazing clarity I mounted one on my 17HMR for prairie dog hunting and it shoots well and is easy to adjust for distance and wind.

Bought 2 of these scopes, one for my Savage 112 30-06 (left-handed bolt), and one for my dad's Savage 308 (right-handed bolt). Just be warned, there appears to be some variation on the scope design (mostly the illumination knob location) depending on how old stock is at some locations. One of the scopes I received had the illumination knob as you see here, on top of the scope. The other had the illumination knob on the right-side. Luckily I'm left-handed, so the knob on the right side will not restrict my bolt. The scope that arrived with the illumination knob on top will be mounted to my dad's 308, so it will not restrict his bolt. Overall, great build quality and clarity. Can't wait to test these on the range. Just watch out for slight variations in where the illumination knob is located, I'm guessing corrected in a later revision due to blocking right-handed bolt actions.

Updated review. After going to the range had no problem with the scope other than having 4 knobs to adjust. The scope on a semi auto 223. Have a Rem 700 bolt action tried putting that on the rifle . As the review by Wayne J. states DO NOT purchase this scope for a bolt action rifle . Very poor design dial should be on top not the right side that restricts the bolt handle.

Mounted this scope on Sig 556. My first trip to the range was somewhat overcome with all the knobs and adjustments. Being 77 yrs young and use to fixed magnification and the other two knobs took sometime getting use too. Having laser bore sighted in before going to range the scope did what it was suppose to without any problems. Its well made looks good feels good . Couple more trips to the range will get the hang of it just like riding a bike for the first time . Bottom line would buy it again,no pickle .
