I've read many very favorable reports and reviews on this scope. The only seemingly common user warning seems to be advice to not tighten the turret zero reset screws too tight. They require very little torque in order to hold the turret securely. Reportedly, it is easy to over-torque the screws and strip the threads. My only disappointment is the lack of an available 17 HMR 20 grain turret. Therefore, I plan to engrave or mark with rub-on lettering the following "adders" right onto my turret to simplify adjustments for 20 grain bullets. One could try to create an entire second scale, but there's not much room on the turret. However, I think there is room to make sixteen zone delineation ticks along with the following adders between the new ticks. It should be easy to count the specified number of clicks past each 17 grain setting to obtain a setting that works with 20 grain bullets. According to my external ballistics software, here are the 20 grain adders (in clicks) out to 300 yard

just bought one and zeroed it today. zeroed in four rounds and then shot a five shot group and at 50 yrds you could cover all five with a nickle. Gonna buy another one soon as I can find it.

I have this scope on my Savage #93 17HMR. Bought the set back in 2003. I consistently shoot 1/4" groups at 100 yrds using Hornady 17gr poly tip bullets. One shot, one kill on everything from ground hogs to coyote. I just re-calibrated it after almost 9 years of use. Only off by 1/4" high. Excellent scope!!! The coating on the scope and covers has become very sticky over the last year. I've contacted BSA to see if this is a warranty issue. I'll follow up when I hear from them.

I bought a Sweet 17 on impulse as I'd just purchased a Savage 917. Saw it hanging on a wall in a plastic promo pak for $69 at Sportsman's Warehouse. The included hex key seemed to be too small for the screws but other than that, this has got to be the best small caliber scope on the market, hands down. Once bore sighted at 25 yards and zero'd at 100 I get consistent .75 to 1" groups. Buy it, you'll love it.

This is a great scope it is easy to sight in and fun to use . Once sighted in u just turn the turret to the range u want to shoot at and it is dead on. It is one of my favorite scopes

I have had this scope for a couple months and I love it. I attached it to my savage .22 and even at 150 yards I am able to hit a prarrie dog. If you are looking for a good scope for your rifle this is for you.

This a great scope if you are serious about accuracy and rimfire hunting and shooting. I have had this scope on my remington model 597 hmr for about 2 years now and love it. Once sighted in you need only adjust the range turret for a dead on hold. Have shot evrything from coyotes at 100yds. to groundhogs at 250, dead on every time. This is the first scope I have had with adjustable objective and that is a big plus also, especially at longer ranges.
