Bought the 3-12x40 Sweet 17 & mounted on a Savage 93R17 BTVSS Excellent scope. Very clear & very accurate with rifle combination. I can shoot 10 shot groups in a quarter all day long. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Like many others, I originally purchased 3-12x40 sweet 17 back in 2005 and the rubber coating went south. I really liked this scope and was pleased to know that they covered it no-questions-asked, just payed shipping, and traded in my 8 y/o scope for a brand new one, minus the rubberized coating. Very pleased with this budget-friendly optic.

The name describes it perfectly! (Sweet) I put mine on a 17hmr Savage heavy barrel did a few rounds grouping them in a 1 inch circle @ 100 yards. Was impressed with the clear optics. Great buy for the money.

I have a Sweet 22 scope in 3x12x40 and this is a very clear scope. I use it around the farm to rid us of nuisance birds and rodents. Its the best scope I have ever put on a 22 rile and trust me I've used them all. I highly recommend the Sweet Series of scopes by BSA.

I love mine. I have it mounted on a Savage 93R bull barrel, thumb through stock. I have shot probably 1000 gophers and hundreds of rabbits and other varmints with it over the last five years. It has never lost zero or malfunctioned in any way. The BDC is dead on with Hornady or Federal 17 grain loads allowing for repeatable long range accuracy. I highly recommend this scope.

love these scopes guys, shot grouping for 12 rounds 50 yards quarter size. 100 yards in calm wind same results. love these clear optics and parallax being dead on. keep it up bsa

BSA stands behind their products. I had an older Sweet 17 3-12x40 on my Savage 93r17. The rubberized finish had begun to degrade and become tacky. I contacted BSA and for $10 to cover shipping they sent me a brand new scope no questions asked and no more rubberized coating. These scopes are a no brainer on .17 HMR rifles. Once sighted in, the turret makes a 300 yard shot almost too easy. Thanks BSA! Brian in Memphis

I personaly havent had an issue with this scope, you get the basic issues you would exspected from an 80 dallor veriable power scope. For example, its gets fuzy after 10x power and the vertical ajustment is quite exstreme. 1 click, for me, moves almost .5 to .75 of an inch on paper, so, zeroing at 100yards can get to be frustrationg. On the other hand, once your there its great for 80 bucks. the turrets are very sound and you can hear them clearly when there rotated. the turret dial markers are not dead on. the parralax is pretty good even for being front mounted. the eye relief for this scope is dead on and the amount of light it allows it is quite amazing in its self. i have a swfs ss 5-20x50 (1400$)that doesnt light up as well as this scope does. would i recomend this to someone yes for rimfire rifles its a great scope cost 4/5 ease of use 3/5 clarity 4/5 overal quality 4/5

My Sweet .17 sit on a CZ trainer. Great value in a scope and excellent preformance as well.Put 23 shots thru a hole you could cover with a quarter from 100 yds.I own lots of guns with more expensive glass but this gun/scope combo is my favorite shooter!

I have my sweet 17 3-12x40ao on a savage 9317 heavy barrel with Harris swivel bi-pod. The scope was up for the task of taking 150 yard one shot kills on South Dakota p. dogs. I didn't have shots any longer.

Blue j's at 10yds crows at 100= Just what the name says SWEET, clear vision at any range.dead on. 9 shots at 50yds covered with a dime. Got to find a place in Arkansas where I can see 200yds.

I bought a Sweet 17 3x12-40 and mounted it on my Marlin XT-17. 1st 100 yard shot was less than 6 inches off center. Only took 12 rounds to get centered. Hitting center with 3 rounds in a dime sized area. Great optics, clear, bright and very accurate.

I love mine - on a .17 HMR Savage 93R with bull barrel. Very accurate shooter. Anyone know who has a 3" sun shade for it?? Can't seem to locate one and have searched the I-Net for hours..I see BSA's sold with them - but, I don't see them on this site. Mike in Oregon

I have contender BSA and love it, still trying to fine tune it, lost the dust covers for both ends. Do I have to replace with same caps? Would love to have some kind of dust cover. Any advice?

As bright, clear & functional as my Nikon for a fraction of the money...

Mounted scope on my Browning T-Bolt 17MHR. After boresighting, I went to the range and had it near the bull's eye at 50 yds. I went out to 100yds to gain a quick re-zero and proceeded to do a slow-fire 10 shot group from a benchrest which amounted to a jagged hole about the sise of a quarter using Winchester 17gr ammo. Outstanding optics.

I mounted this scope on a savage mark II BTV .22 LR, 100 yard, 1.5 inch groups with bulk ammunition. Very good optics Thinking about changing my other scopes out.
