The ocular lens was made with a larger diameter than most scopes, helping to create a longer 4" to 5" eye relief and a larger exit pupil that allows your eye to receive a greater amount of light. This greatly reduces eye strain and fatigue making this one of the most “comfortable” scopes to look through.

• Camera quality glass.

I have shot a thousand + rounds with 7.62-54r and 30.06 without a problem , have taken out side in the woods with two outher scopes nicon slughunter and a bushnell to check for clearity with the last leagle hunting time half hour after sunset all were good but i think the BSA 1.5-4.5x32 was a little clear and brighter bought this in 2002 would buy anouther but disapointed with the feild of veiw went from 55- 17 to 42-12.5 I frefer german post but if duplex cmes with a red dot instead of lighting up the hole cross hare would be a defanent improvment along the older feild of view . Thank You for your quality product Maine 04032

I had purchased this scope a few years ago and placed on a .22 long rifle. works very well and am quite pleased with it. I have stored the rifle for a couple years in a gun case(hard case with foam padding). now both front and rear optic housing as weell as the sight adjustment cover caps appear to be desolving. the finish is sticky and coming off on my hands. can anybody tell me how to stop this and clean it off? and what caused it?

I was tasked to buy 3 scopes for 3 AR15s that could be used for close range, as in few feet like in clearing a building to long range (200 yds is 2 city blocks which is long for police work). To stay in budget, we bought this scope only it was an older version with the German post reticle pattern. The plan was to buy something cheap and then upgrade as we could afford to. That was 4 years ago. They are still holding up quite well and have held zeros even after over 200,000 miles each, of riding around in gun racks or trunks of police vehicles that reach well over 120 down to -25 degrees F. The only draw back is when the officer forgets to shut off the power and the battery goes dead. Even then there is enough light gathered from street lights and other ambient sources so that the regular reticle can be easily used. The 4th one bought ilast year, 2008, has the duplex reticle and a better light switch. We cannot complain, they are tough, dependable, clear and inexpensive. The mon

I am a professional gun writer and I get to test lots of scopes in every price range. This scope -purchased from my friend chief AJ- exceeded all my expectations. It is perfectly clear and bright; the adjustments are accurate and repeatable. I have used it on various 22 rimfire sniper rifles and a Mini-14. It has convinced me to buy another BSA scope.
