Great little red dot! Have it on my AR-15 in .22lr and have only had to sight it in one time. Put thousands of rounds down range and is always on point. Could not believe how great of a sight it is and I ended up paying $30.00 for it. Highly recommend.

Yesterday I finished mounting an RD30 on my old Remington 512 bolt action .22 rifle. The drilling and tapping for the Weaver #42 mounts was a challenge but it went well and the scope is solid on the rifle. I returned from the range a few minutes ago and I do believe that I have just converted my old "plinker" into a 1st class varmint rifle. Anything within 100 yards, look out!

Have one on a S&W MP15-22 and out of the box it was not very accurate at 50 feet. After some adjustments it is a great sight for short and medium range shooting.

I bought this from Academy sports three years ago and mounted on my 870 shotgun and used it for deer and hog hunting. i shot about 300 rounds with no problem at all. In fact I killed a big buck about 150 yds out on 11 Nov 12 with no problem at all. I am fixing to get me another one for my .50cal black powder. The best there is out there with the cheapest price and very reliable.

I have four of these neat little scopes. They work great on low to moderate recoiling firearms (22, SKS, 38 Spl) but they don't seem to be able to handle heavy recoil. I have these scopes on two 357 Mags and the red dot disappears with the firing of each full power load. Momentarily turning the intensity knob off detent and then back into contact restores the dot but this must be done for each full power round fired. Avoid full power, heavy recoiling loads and they'll do fine.

The sight is pretty good for the price. In Arizona average day sun, you can see the dot when its set to 6 or 7.Summer will see it set to 10. The adjustable mount seems good in practice but mine was flimsy and flew off my gun. I added an extra bolt and nut this time and it seems ok. BSA customer service was ok even though they sent me the wrong thing the first time( lens caps) they let me keep them when they replaced the mount. I'll give the scope for the money a 4 out of 5. I'll give the mount a 1 out of 5. BSA customer service a 3 out of 5. Overall a 3 out of 5.

to STEVEN on 01/26/11.....have you replaced the battery? When I got my sight, with a HiPoint .45 Carbine, the dot wouldn't stay on. Replaced the battery and it's fine.

i put this on my 44mag [thats right 44mag] revolver just to see how it will do, well after 100 rounds of my hunting reloads it still holds zero, only thing i can complain about is how hadr it is o turn the adj. dial, other than that so far so good, pghrich

I put one of these on my AR-15. For a low cost Red Dot I'm impressed. Over 1,000 rounds through the AR with the BSA RD30 and it's worked perfectly every time.
REVIEW BY: Ryan Abney Monday, March 28, 2011
I bought this from a Tac shop and threw it on my AR-15! I have it dialed so well it shoots ropes!trust me.. shot the ropes holding the steel plates at the end of my range! Great buy!

I put this on a Ruger 22/45 threaded . It looks and works great. A good product for the money.
REVIEW BY: Wally Monday, February 21, 2011
I have the Aftermath RD30 which is the exact same sight as the BSA and I love it. Has a clear & bright field of view, mounts securly with no play & seems to increase the scene brightness with it's execellent lens coatings. Both sights are made in China but are very well made for the price with the Aftermath being a little lower priced and both are Gamo inports...

Sight came mounted on a new Hi Point .45 carbine. I was not to sure about it but tried it out. with in 4 shots had it dialed in no problems.

My wife bought this sight for me to mount on the new 10/22 that gave to me. at first it worked fine, now maybe three years later, when I fire it, the red dot go's out, and I have to turn the dial back to another setting ,and then back to the one I want, every shot. mounts are tight.

I put this on my ruger sr 10/20. It works great i can't wait to find some rabbits or mybe even some predators
REVIEW BY: Joe Tuesday, December 28, 2010
My red dot doesnt seem bright enough during the day the sun kind of dims it to a faint speck has anyone else had this problem?
REVIEW BY: Adam Ruger Monday, December 06, 2010
I put this on my shot gun with my riffled barrel put down a 15 point buck at 50 yards great scope
REVIEW BY: Danny Friday, November 19, 2010
Works great on my Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 Rifle! Was easy to sight. Dot is easy to see in daylight. Just using it and my rifle for shooting at local gun range.
REVIEW BY: John J. Roger Thursday, November 11, 2010
I just bought this and put it on my ruger 10/22, looks good easy to sight, great scope for the price
REVIEW BY: tim Saturday, September 11, 2010
be careful of mounting screws....they are soft and strip easily. Do not over tighten. Don't plan on taking the scope on and off frequently...and don't forget to turn it off!
REVIEW BY: Keepanbear Monday, May 03, 2010
Bought this on an impulse when picking up my new Ruger Charger. A shame that I had to to pay full retail but am still happy. Three groups of 3 shots and it was sighted in perfectly and has stayed that way for over 1000 rounds. Golf balls at 50 yards have no chance of surviving! Just ordered a Sweet 22 series scope for the same pistol and am hoping it'll be as satisfying.

installed this on my s&w 22a, easy installition and set up with no modifications to weaver rail. dot viewable in all lighting conditions. held center position all day long. good preformance for the price.
REVIEW BY: JB Friday, March 12, 2010
Installed a RD 30 on my Beretta Neos .22, You can only see the red dot on a target that is a dark color. If you are using it in the daylight on a light colored target, you can not see the dot. On the "10" position (the brightest) the dot becomes blurry and at shooting @25 yards a group of 3" should be expected. But for $30 what should you expect.
REVIEW BY: Thursday, November 05, 2009
I bought this sight and put it on to my M4, it works very nicely although it is hard to see the dot out in the desert but back here in America where I use it in a woodland terrain for training and such it works nicely, for added accuracy for those who have a civilian AR-15 or Military M4 if you dont have a standard sight that is attached to the carrying handle but you do have the sight itself it really helps to put it behind the red dot scope because it increases accuracy for a farther distance shot, but if you decide to keep both eyes open for a closer range engagement it wont impair your vision. i have a rd30 mounted onto my rifle, i have used it only a handfull of times and the inner lens which projects the laser pointer has fallen off inside of the optic, it can probley be fixed but i cannot get the scope apart and figured if this piece of junk broke after only a short while it is not worth the fix... the gun was never dropped or abused in such a way for the glass to fall out, it just came apart... i recommend a slightly higher quality red dot if going to use for shooting game, after all nothing worse then missing a trophy animal because of faulty equiptment!!
REVIEW BY: George Monday, October 12, 2009
Mounted on my GSG-5 carbine. Accurate to at least the 100yds i was shooting it at. Anything closer and its just too easy. As a cqb style scope/weapon combo it's great, keep both eyes open and put the bullet wherever the red dot is! BTW, i have the RD30CP
REVIEW BY: William Harvey Tuesday, September 22, 2009
Is this the scope I need to fit a cross Bow?
REVIEW BY: Friday, September 11, 2009
Easy to install and sighted in nicely on a Mossberg 500 for my daughter. Seems viewable in all lighting situations. We'll see if it gets her a bird this year!

I just put this on my ar-15 and in a matter of minutes I was on target. The price was good too.
REVIEW BY: Thursday, July 02, 2009
This is a great red dot for the value i'd give it 5 stars. Its has a precise dot and is really light weight. I have it on my 10 22 its perfect.
REVIEW BY: Christopher V Tuesday, May 05, 2009
As a police officer I use RD30 on my Duty AR-15 and it has remarkable precision and crisp clear optics in normal and low light and can keep up those over price optics. Perfect option for law enforcement who need a quality product at a reasonable price. Good Job BSA
REVIEW BY: Airsoft Paul Tuesday, March 24, 2009
Really like this scope. The mount is reversible to mounting to small (picatiny), or larger (weaver) rails. I purchased this scope for the purpose of using with an MP5 airsoft gun. It mounter nicely, and sighted in easily. It no problem dealing with the guns full-auto kick. However the only thing I would recomend to anyone thinking of mounting to to an airsoft gun is this: BUY A STRONG LENS COVER! One shot to the front lens and it shattered. I was able to build a plexiglass replacement but it is not as clear, and BSA don't seem to make replacement lenses. So just food for thought.

Just put the RD30CP on my 835 Mossberg Ulti-Mag 12 gauge. Great for turkey hunting in low light. Great price too.
REVIEW BY: Stephen O. Thursday, March 05, 2009
This sight came on a Ruger Marl III Target. I didn't want a scope on it, so I took it of and put it on an old Sears Robuck .22 rifle and it's the best thing that ever happened to it. Holds accuracy very well and is excellent in low light. WATCH OUT SQUIRRELS!!!

I purchased this at Walmart. I installed this on my AR-15 A4. I love it. The price is right as well.
REVIEW BY: bob fairlane Saturday, September 20, 2008
I used this sight for the first time today. I recommend it for night hunting or turkey hunting in the early or late hours. It is not impressive in bright daylight or into the direction the sun is radiating from. At night though, its well worth the $20-30. Good enough to buy one, cheap enough to buy two. I'd get a green dot to, if you have switch barrels or 2 favorite loads.
REVIEW BY: Monday, September 15, 2008
I purchased this sight because i use reading glasses. With this sight you don't have to have them on and you can keep both eyes open. This baby is right on when you get it set up..Real easy to set up with a bore laser.Ruger 22/45

i purchased this sight for my hi-point 9mm carbine and i love it its fairly tactical and for the price it is very accurate everyone with a gun should own one of these
REVIEW BY: James Edgell Wednesday, July 09, 2008
I recently purchased this sight for use with my Beretta Neo .22 pistol and I was extremely pleased with the accuracy, the adjustable red dot is very easy to see, and the sight is very functional ... I would suggest this sight to any shooter, especially if your on a budget. It's a tremendous bargain.

OK OK
