I just had my scope replaced under warranty for a scope I purchased in 2003. The service department replaced the scope with a brand new one, which I recieved yesterday. Can't wait to get it sighted in head out to coyote hunt. Thank you BSA for standing by your product and replacing it without question.

I got this scope used and put it on a Remmington 597 .22 and sighted at 25yrds dead on at a 100 yards it shot about 1inch low with standard velocity ammo. I'm impressed with it a little over kill on a .22 but it's the scope I had at the time and I like the way it looks. But the scope is pretty awesome. When the lighted reticle is turned up all the way the lens have a red tent over them. But around 8 power it's clear. The focus is a bit of a problem at full zoom but it is a used scope I have. But minor problems seeing I use the zoom all the time. I'm sure a new one shouldn't have these problems. But I would say buy one if the used one i bought is this accurate then you can't go ring with a new one.

Had this scope for about a year on my .220swift, and have nothing bad to say about it at all. Love this scope!

I picked this scope up at academy for 100, mounted it on my 30-06 was shooting the same bullet hole over and over at 200 yards. Cant beat it for the price.

I absolutely love this scope... hit target at 800 m with no problem, (3 shots about size of a silver dollar)... gonna try for a further distance today. BSA is alot better than I thought.

Great scope for the money. Got it for my AR 10 and it does the job great. I only wish it was accurate past 150yd. But up to that point it is great.

I have had 3 bsa rifle scopes. 2 of them were 3-9x 40 and I they were absolutely unbelievable with the accuracy. One was a little cloudy @ dusk but I still hunted with it. I bought a bsa catseye and it is not designed for a 270 caliber. It wouldn't hold zero. If u look into a food plot towards the sunset u couldn't see anything for the glare. Now on positive side for catseye. I mounted this same scope on my marlin 22lr and u can't beat it. So if u want it for small caliber rifle and won't be looking towards sunset this scope is awesome

I have this scope on a Savage 17HMR that has traveled of 500 mikes on a 4-wheeler and the Zero is still dead on! When I mounted the scope the gun shot a 0.375" (3) shot group, 100 yds. and still does. Excellent scope.
REVIEW BY: GH Saturday, December 17, 2011
Accurate, Quality scope for a great price. Have one on my 22WMG first site in 1" group at 100yds. Just bought another for my AR and fits perfect on flat top with high rings. Cant wait to try it! I'd recommend it to anyone.
REVIEW BY: hog killer Monday, November 21, 2011
i mounted this scope on my marlin 22 magnum with a kill light mounted on it and it makes killing hogs at night so much easyer ,it holds dime size pattern at 100yrds all day long will buy another ,good scope for the money.

I own two on mu air rifles. I wish I could get another, just in case these folks at BSA stop making them! My son has a Sweet 17 on his. Another great scope, with an even bigger field of view (same magnification comparison). I would like to get one with the illuminated dot in the center of the crosshairs.
REVIEW BY: TJ Thursday, October 06, 2011
Put this scope on a Savage 110 FP 308 heavy. Had mounting issues with the rails, and broke a ring and so far with new parts it seems ok. FOV isn't that bad, cross hair focus is difficult and the IR is about useless as it just shines light on the rectile.. Overall not bad for $99..
REVIEW BY: Wes Thursday, August 11, 2011
Just bought a savage 308 and bought this scope off of swfa for bout 50 bucks. so far very nice scope for the money. I love it!!

REVIEW BY: Austin Saturday, March 05, 2011
Purchased a BSA for my 300 wsm two years ago. I am impressed with this scope on how it could handle the gun. No problems killing coyotes at 500 yards. Even killed a few jack rabbits at 300 yards. Keep up the good work BSA.

So far so good. Mounted this glass on a CZ452 Varmit 22lr. Has been very reliable. Turret adjustments up and down have been accurate after several adjustments based on distance dialed down to 50m and up to 200m. Time will tell the real story.

I have this scope mounted on a Savage 17 HMR, It's very accurate and tough. After riding in an airboat and on a 4-wheeler for 1 year; it shoots a 3/8", 3 shoot group @ 100 yds. I will recommend it to anyone.
REVIEW BY: donald Tuesday, September 07, 2010
well i use it on a 30 06 to deer hunting at long range and so far so good, for the price in canadian money, its not so good for the target
REVIEW BY: bama guy Friday, May 28, 2010
update from last comment.. one word ... wow finally went shooting with this scope on my 17hmr and it took twenty seconds to sight in and is dead on every shot since. i am very pleased with this scope and tell everyone i shoot with about it. academy sports has it for $99.99. this thing is amazing.
REVIEW BY: bama guy Wednesday, May 19, 2010
i just put one on my mossberg 817 and i used medium heighth rings and i have about 1/3'' clearance between scope and barrel. anyone have one on a 17hmr?
REVIEW BY: KCSHOOTER Monday, May 10, 2010
Eye relief is unforgiving, but optic is clear, bright, and holds zero after 4 range trips over 8 month period.
REVIEW BY: Haci Wednesday, April 28, 2010
howdy folks, I just had a simple honest to God question. I've own this scope for a few weeks now and havent been able to shoot it since I dont have a good scope mount for it. I am hoping to use it on AR15. Will 1nc high mounts be enough to fit it?
REVIEW BY: St. Louis Shooter Sunday, February 28, 2010
Placed this scope on a Rock River M4 flat top with a 16" bbl. May not be the correct rifle for the scope but even with the 16" 1/9 inch bbl. you can really put the hole right where you want it. Bought it at Cabelas for $100.00. An outstanding long range scope for the money. Looking for another one for the same price. Great Scope!
REVIEW BY: Eric Stevens Saturday, February 27, 2010
I've used BSA scopes for almost 12 years counting, and not one has had any type of glitch! Most hold 5-shot groups of 1/2 inches between 25-200 yds. Others I own hold 5-shot groups of 2/8 inches between 25-100 yds. I own about 15 BSA scopes, and believe they have no equal in accuracy and affordability combined. I use them on rifles from: .22LR-6.5x55, & 7.62x39mm calibers. Great scopes!
REVIEW BY: Monday, February 01, 2010
i have went threw two and both out of the box would not hold zero, at best 4 inch group. i put my old scope back on and held a 3/4 inch group.
REVIEW BY: Arkansas Hunter Sunday, November 29, 2009
The Clarity is awesome! IR makes low light hunting even more enjoyable. This scope can also hold up to a 45/70 Govt.'s punishment! All my high powered rifles are fit with these scopes. .270 Win, 30-06 Sprg, 7mm Rem. Mag, .308 Win., 45/70 Govt., the list goes on and on. Even my CVA Optima Pro boasts one of these scopes!
REVIEW BY: Dennis Sampson Saturday, November 28, 2009
This is the best scope I've ever used. I love the lighted reticle. My son used it on his remington model 740 in canada and the guide wanted to keep it. He shot in low light and fog and downed a nice 2x2 mule deer at 75 yards. He almost wouldn't let me have it back! Great scope!!
REVIEW BY: nvshooter Sunday, November 01, 2009
Shot my best-ever group of 0.073 inches from 100 yards with this scope today. Mag set at 16X; 26-inch stainless Encore; handloaded ammo but no reloading info (didn't write it down); from sandbags front and rear. Anybody who says BSA is cheap glass can kiss that group...
REVIEW BY: Ragnor Tuesday, October 13, 2009
I purchased the MD416X40IR yesterday and mounted it on my Model 70, 7mm STW tonight, bore sighted it and took it out in the woods. after two shots I was centered and 10 inches low @ 100 yrds on 10X. I cranked up the elevation 80 clicks and nailed a 3 inch target at 100 yards. a few more adjustments and I was easily shooting a 3/4 inch square at 100 yards. then for kicks nailed a clay pigeon @ 300 yards. As long as the scope holds up against the brutal power of the STW I am 100% satisfied! with my purchase and that is extremely rare.
REVIEW BY: cd Monday, October 05, 2009
got this scope on ruger mod. 77 .280 and have made shots up to 500 yards you do get your money worth holds good tight pattern
REVIEW BY: ARAY Friday, February 20, 2009
great scope 5 stars, ive got it mounted on a gamo whisper it works great.the zoom is clear and unmatchable for the price. the IR is good for low light conditions. the formula that came in the manual helped me sight in in less than a day. i generally use it @ 25 yds so i dont need all the zoom. but its amazing when u need that "ten bucks you cant hit that bulls eye" shot.
REVIEW BY: WildLifeFarmer Sunday, February 01, 2009
Engineering, finishout, INCLUDED lens shade & clear lens caps are shadowed by the awesome mil-dot ILLUMINATED reticle with a Clear conventional mil-dot reticle when turned Off. the 40mm size makes mounting easier than larger ones. Conventional "CR-2032" battery included is available just about anywhere batteries are sold. FIVE STARS for the money. WildLifeFarmer.

I have this scope on a 22-250 Win. model 70 it is great. Unbelievable in low light.
REVIEW BY: Wizephd Friday, November 07, 2008
FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! I used it for the first time today. The adjustable glowing red cross hairs make it much easier to maintain an accurate pattern and the clarity on the target was exceptional! Hands down the best scope I have ever used. You get the performance of a high end scope for a price that is unmatched and unbeatable. A minimal investment that will improve your shooting experience 10 fold.
